Carlos Burgos explores some of the aspects and consequences of urban living. But not necessarily the obvious outward appearances and goings on, but those within. Feelings of isolation, stress, anger and pain.
A surreal look at how we interact within this environment. Images which manifest themselves through our feelings, opinions, and socieal environments but are not always acknowledged
"I've yet to see a piece by Carlos that doesn't provoke thought and have an impact of relation or relating-to what the drawing is literally expressing by one's own interpretation. He will go far. And the experience of viewing his work, is without a doubt, an experience itself which teaches you about yourself through your reaction and connection to the paintings" Alexandra Pereyra
Carlos, has agreed to be there to talk to us about the work.

"Abstract emotions and concepts are made visual within C. M Burgos’ paintings. His art captures the sensation or ambience of certain social situations. C. M Burgos’ talent in portraying feelings and sensations not easily expressed in words through imagery makes the viewer face them and either accept or reject them.
Cities have similar topics but due to cultural factors every city has their own predominant issues. London is no exception. For example, most of us have felt the downsides of city life; economic, moral, health and social crisis. In the midst of these ‘lows’ one could feel as if the system around them was crumbling or who hasn’t seen hooded youths hanging around in groups and felt, if not intimidated, anxious in walking past them.
The city can be exciting and unpredictable. The urbanite experiences the high and lows of such unpredictability. Thus his work covers a variety of those themes. Most recently he has concentrated on aspects of urban life and its social contexts. C. M Burgos has captured these views or attitudes that society has developed in concise and impacting images and transposed them visually for us to ponder."
